Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him. β Psalm 37:7. The waiting can begin now.
Goodnight β His banner over you is love (Song of Solomon 2:4), fluttering even in the dark.
Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you. β Psalm 55:22. The basket is open; let go.
May the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your heart tonight. β Philippians 4:7
He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. β Psalm 121:4. Two of you cannot stay awake; let Him.
Goodnight β return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you. β Psalm 116:7
The eternal God is your dwelling place. β Deuteronomy 33:27. Go home for the night. He is waiting.
Goodnight β may the day's small kindnesses be the last thing you tally before you sleep.
Sleep gently. The world will still be here, and so will the people who like you in it.
May tonight be uncomplicated β a glass of water, a closed door, a slow breath out.
Whatever is unfinished can wait. The dark is patient; learn from it.
Goodnight; may your pillow be cool on the side you flip to at two in the morning.
Rest the way trees do β still on the outside, quietly doing the necessary work within.
Sleep deeply enough that you forget what you were worried about, but not who you are.
Goodnight β the day was long, but you carried it well. Set it down now.
May your dreams be reasonable and your morning be slow.
Sleep is not a small thing. Receive it like a gift someone took trouble to choose.
Goodnight; let the noise of the day settle like sediment, and wake to clearer water.
May your last thought be simple and your first thought be hopeful.
